Discovering the Causse Méjean
The Méjean causse is a huge limestone plateau which is part of the Grands Causses. It is the highest plateau of the Causses with an altitude ranging from 800 m to 1 247 m (Mount Gargo). The Causse Méjean is part of the park of Causses and Cevennes registered on the list of the world heritage of UNESCO on June 29, 2011.
Here there are more sheep than inhabitants, the ideal place for nature lovers, calm and serenity. This almost deserted plateau is a great place for hiking or biking.
